Call for István Weszprémi Award and József Török Award

On behalf of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Debrecen, the Medical and Health Sciences Council of Student Research Society is announcing an application for the István Weszprémi Award and the József Török Award.

All graduating general medicine students of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Debrecen can apply for the István Weszprémi Award. All graduating students of any master's degree program of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Debrecen can apply for the József Török Award. The aim of the applications is to reward students who demonstrate outstanding scientific activity and academic results. The award will be presented during the graduation ceremony.

The application form can be downloaded from the CSRS website (https://oetdk.unideb.hu/en/downloadable-documents). The completed and signed application form, together with attachments, must be sent by e-mail to the administrator of the Medical and Health Sciences Council of Student Research Society (Izabel Sándor-Tokaji, admin.tdk@med.unideb.hu) by May 15, 2026 at 12:00.

The following documents must be attached electronically to the application:

  • certificate of the student's TDK activity from the head of the organizational unit(s),
  • a copy of all publications (publications, abstracts) except TDK lectures and papers
  • a copy of a document certifying scientific or academic results (e.g. academic competition),
  • in the case of conference participation, preferably a copy of the relevant part of the conference publication,
  • a copy of the language exam certificate(s),
  • a copy of the index certified by the Academic Department.

Applications must include the following information:

  • Titles, authors and year of submission of scientific student club papers written by the student
  • Titles, authors, year of presentation and name of speaker given by the student (local TDK conference, local TDK conference of another university, national TDK conference)
  • List of publications in extenso (authors, title of publication, name of journal, volume, page number, year of publication)
  • Conference presentations given by the student (authors, title of presentation, title of conference, time, place, name of speaker, if not the same as the first author)
  • Conference posters (authors, title, title of conference, time, place)
  • Undergraduate teaching assistant period in semesters
  • Language exams (type, language, time of taking)
  • Average academic result for all semesters
  • Other academic and scientific results (e.g. academic competitions)
  • Community activities
